Louis de Thanhoffer

Louis combines scientific research with investment expertise in pharma and biotech. He began his career in research, working at the Institut Pasteur, in Walter Fiers's laboratory at UGent and at Janssen Pharmaceutica. Walter Fiers's lab is renowned for its pioneering work in molecular biology.

He then moved into finance, becoming Senior Pharma & Biotech Advisor at Petercam, where he applied his scientific background to the analysis of life sciences companies. He later joined Newton Biocapital, a fund dedicated to life sciences, as Senior Advisor.

Having worked both in the lab and on the investment side, Louis can assess a life sciences opportunity on its science as well as its business case, and he brings that dual perspective to TCD Capital.
